My jaws were clicking and popping and on several occasions I couldn't open my mouth when I got up in the morning. A friend recommended that I see Dr. Cherin, a specialist in TMJ treatment. After examination and x-rays, Dr. Cherin found that my lower jaw was out of alignment and he made an appliance for me to wear in my mouth to correct the alignment. I have suffered weekly debilitating migraines for about 35 years. Dr. Cherin said that if my TMJ was corrected he thought that it would at least reduce the frequency and severity of my migraines. I started wearing my appliance on May 7th and my last migraine was May 17th. That's two months now without a migraine and counting. Dr. Cherin did in a week what multiple doctors haven't done in 35 years of using one drug after another while searching for relief. The clicking, popping and problems opening my mouth have also stopped. Dr. Cherin says that I may still have an occasional migraine but I'm hoping that he's wrong.
