    Bottom line, GO ELSEWHERE. SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY. I waited a long time (almost two years) before writing this review. Long story short, we paid a LOT OF MONEY to have a gate welded together, powder coated, and installed along with an electric motor, multiple exit loops and sensors with a keypad with camera. From the very beginning we have had problems with every aspect of this system and installation and the problems never end. Two years later we are still trying to figure out why the gate randomly decides to open and stay open indefinitely, which defeats the purpose of having a gate. First we had issues with the main board, then we had buzzing in the phone line, then the gate started randomly opening and not closing, then the exit loops were redone (which they made me pay for) now the photo sensor has failed. The gate still randomly opens and won't close. It's UNACCEPTABLE. One of my biggest complaints with this company is that all of these issues are documented and literally started from the moment the system was installed. Well, they offer a one year warranty and by God after that, you are going to pay $$$. It doesn't seem to matter that the problems existed before the warranty was up, it doesn't seem to matter that no matter how many times they have sent someone out they still haven't fixed the problem. They just want more money. I had to pay them to cut my driveway and put in new exit loops because they thought maybe that was the problem. Never mind that it's been faulty since the installation, one year has passed so you must pay hundreds of dollars.... Oh and by the way, that still didn't fix the problem. I gave this company my business because of Yelp reviews. This is one of the few times that Yelp has failed me. I hate saying negative things but I'm seriously just trying to help someone avoid the nightmare that we have had to deal with. Please find a different company that will stand behind their products and services and not string you along doing the bare minimum until their one year "warranty" runs out so they can hit you up for more money when it was a pre-existing problem.

    DO NOT USE. PLEASE READ. The current date is April 26th at 3:41pm, 2021. The person who answers the phone (I am not allowed to use a name) never returned my request to fix my two (2) custom side gates after I texted her four times.If Scotland Entry Systems cannot be bothered to take care of paying customers, PLEASE go look at competitors. No one should be treated this way.Always check current YELP adds, date, time and affiliation. I am a concerned consumer.

    After reading the negative reviews below, I believe the horrible way I'm being treated is just the way they do business. I've been using them for 6 years every time my gate acted up. I called last week for a simple fix and they charged me 180 dollars to simply move the reflector that recognizes the sensor to close the gate.  That worked perfectly for many years so obviously that wasn't the issue. The left a new hole in my iron fence that looks horrible, and now I can't get a call back to return and identify the real issue.  I've call several times and wrote very nice emails  asking for help. I got ZERO back. I strongly recommend finding another option as you will most likely experience the same issues.  My gate won't close and not only is it a safety issue,  it pretty frustrating to say the least.  Thumbs down on this company as their terrible customer service

    Based on my terrible experience and review, I was contacted by a person who had a similar unresolved problem with Scotland Entry.They wanted to know if I'd provide a statement because he was considering suing. As someone stated here, run, run run away!

    Do not use. Technician never arrived. After repeated phone calls, I was told that someone had called for my credit card number and when I didn't answer they cancelled the appointment. I checked my phone and no such call had been made. The owner was rude and unhelpful. Do not use them.
