I went to the clinic for an extended illness recently, as a park employee word gets around as to where you should and should not go, and I had heard bad stuff about the Lake Clinic, but it was the closest clinic to my property and I wasn't about to make my friend drive me farther than she had to.
The employees I've dealt with since and during my visit were all very helpful, while the PA didn't have a definite answer for what was wrong he was good conversation and listened to what I knew about my body. The girl working front desk was also wonderful that day and made sure I was able to pay my bill not then, but when I could. The man I spoke to today over the phone to pay my bill was also super helpful and polite and made sure everything went through. Overall one of my better experiences with healthcare away from my doctor at home.

We were in Yellowstone a little over a week ago, when my husband had to go to a clinic because a leg wound he had received before our vacation looked very "angry." Late Saturday night (just about 10 minutes before the clinic closed), we got to Lake Clinic and were seen promptly by Nurse-Practitioner Cheryl Wheeler and her staff. They. Were. Wonderful. Even though it was past closing time, Cheryl and her assistant (sorry! I can't recall her name right now!) were professional, attentive, and more than willing to do what it took to provide my husband with appropriate care. He received IV antibiotics and was told to return in the morning to be checked, which we did. Again we arrived Sunday morning to find that the staff was basically waiting for us. Cheryl advised we take him to the ER in either Cody or Jackson Hole, and she contacted her physician supervisor, contacted the ER doc at Cody (where we chose to go), and she and her staff prepared my husband to make the trek across the Shoshone Highway to get to the Cody ER - another round of IV antibiotics and all their medical records for the ER. Everyone on staff at Lake Clinic with whom we came in contact made us feel that we were important and did everything they could to provide us with the best care possible for their clinic. I can't tell you how grateful we are to the fine staff at Lake Clinic for their care, care which was instrumental in resolving the acute infection in my husband's leg wound. Thank you, thank you, thank you! You guys ROCK!

The medical staff at lake clinic is top notch. Very grateful for them. They diagnosed my broken ankle and provided the boot to hold it in place. Orthopedist at home was impressed with what they did👍. The staff is very caring and exceptional.
