Sands Inn

This motel has been in my old hometown since I was a kid, it has gone through lots of renovations and they are still improving on things each time we have visited! It is located on the last exit of town, with several gas stations, coffee shop, restaurants and a liquor store all with in walking distance! The owner of the Inn also the owns the fun bar Buddha Bobs across the street! Great bartender service, shuffle board, pool tables, touch tunes jukebox and an amazing food truck in the parking lot with a wide variety of Chinese/American cuisine, great food and huge portions! The Sands Inn rooms have new beds, plenty of hot water, fridge microwave, air conditioning and a quiet clean place to get a restful nights sleep! Management is very responsive and the hotel staff refreshed our rooms each morning of our stay! We travel from Utah every summer with our car club to attend a local car show and we rent out 11 rooms and no one had any complaints or concerns! We will continue to support this local small business and we hope to see it continue to thrive and grow!! Rooms: Clean, newly renovated, digital door locks, refrigerator, microwave, smart TVs, new beds, new flooring, air conditioning, quiet. Nearby activities: Bar across the street, permanent food truck across the street, gas stations, liquor store, coffee hut, last exit of town of I 80 , easy access for a good night sleep after traveling! Safety: Doors were secure, locks are in the process of being changed to digital codes, windows were secured. In front of room parking, exterior lighting was good, surrounding area is quiet. Walkability: Walk to two gas stations, two bars, coffee hut, food truck, park, Lews Restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner! Food & drinks: Buddha Bobs bar across the street offers full range of liquor and beer, snacks! The Hungry Buddha Food Truck offers Chinese and American cuisine with large portions and daily specials! Noteworthy details: The owner continues to make improvements this property, each time we visit there are noticeable upgrades, the exterior was recently painted, new flooring in rooms, new hot water system! We will continue to support this small local business!

One of the least glamourous of the many places I stayed on my last holiday, but it was also the least expensive. It must have thick walls, as I did indeed sleep well. I would have given three stars if the fridge only worked.

The desk lady was nice. We ended up not staying because people in pur group were complaining. Honestly they could at least fix the doors, they all look like they had been kicked in.
