I needed two water heaters replaced and a water filter installed. Since I was leaving town for several weeks I needed quick service and had little time to shop around. Lee had done work for me previously so I called them first. They said they could do the work in the next few days which is what I needed. I asked what heaters they suggested and they told me a higher end model. No price was discussed but I knew the retail price of this model delivered and knew labor rates were at the high end of average. Since I was short of time I knew I'd just pay the high labor rate and not much more than the high retail price of the tanks rather than do it myself or shop another plumber.
The work was done when scheduled and correctly. However, when I received the bill the price of the tanks and filter were marked up almost 100% over wholesale and the labor hours were padded. When I challenged these costs I was told that was an industry standard markup. I know that's not true and it was my mistake to not get the price in writing. I feel I was taken advantage of and that doesn't work well in a small town.
Update: I sent the plumber a letter saying I thought he'd made an error in pricing and enclosed a check for the retail price of the equipment and their inflated labor costs. During the next year I received two more bills for the difference, which I ignored. I then retrieved a letter from an attorney demanding payment in full for the original bill or I'd be sued. I asked him if his client had told them I'd already paid most of the bill and why. I then told him I was more than happy to go to court and I would be contacting the Attorney Generals Office and filing a fraud complaint against him for asking for money already paid and further filing a complaint on his client alleging price gouging of a person over 65 which is illegal under WY law. Not heard a thing for a year now.

Our heat went out on Thursday. They said to come out would be an emergency call unless we waited until Friday. We waited until friday. I callenat 3 pm and they said they were coming. At 4:40 pm they said they would come but it would now be an emergency call and all parts stores would be closed. We were left without heat thru the weekend. These people are not reliable and do not care. My advise is to find someone else. Very disapointed.

I’d give it zero stars if I could. Ridiculously over priced. Poor work quality. Rude. And don’t even get the job done.
