Blackwater Creek Ranch

What a fun, authentic dude, experience! The staff and owners were very friendly and informative. The cabins were clean and comfortable and just rustic enough to feel like I was out in the wilderness. I look forward to Sharing it with more friends and family next summer.

Visited this Dude Ranch to see my granddaughter for her birthday. We only spent an hour here but WOW.. this place is in the middle of some spectacular views. The main building didn't look as big from the outside but the inside had multiple floors and ALL Log Cabin looking walls and rafters.. Amazingling clean and Ms Diane was REALLY nice. We had a change to walk around the property and saw horse pens, log cabins for guests, fire pit area that would easily sit 20 people. It's apparent that the owners and Ranch Hands loved this place and so should the guests.. If we were wanting to spend some time on some trails with the horses and surroundings, I WOULD definitely visit this place as a guest.

Black Water Creek Ranch is a truly charmed oasis in the middle of a beautiful part of the country. From the moment we arrived at the ranch we felt welcomed, and part of the family. Our cabin, bedding, and towels were all clean and the housekeeping staff did an incredible job of tidying up daily while we were out on rides or adventures. The meals that were provided were excellent, with multiple breakfast choices, a diverse lunch menu, and fantastic dinners. My family of 6 was well-fed, enjoyed every meal, and were well-attended by the friendly wait-staff! The guided rides we took were truly breath-taking. From valley floor to elevated heights, we took in sights that will stick with us for a long time to come. The wranglers were great, ensuring our horses, saddles, and stirrups fit each of us properly. The horses knew what to do, and we were able to truly enjoy the rides. The additional adventures - Yellowstone tour, Cody rodeo, etc. were great breaks from riding, and offered us experiences we likely would not have had if left on our own. From fishing in the on-premise river, to windows-open, burbling stream sleeping, to the incredible hospitality by the owners, this ranch is a true gem. All 4 of our our kids (10-14) agreed - this was the best family vacation we have ever taken. Thank you Dianna and Johnny for helping make our week one we will never, ever forget!
