Golden Crown Chinese Restaurant

I am a Chinese buffet fanatic so I'll usually visit one if it's right along where I'm driving, so I gave this one a try. This is a review of their lunch buffet, not the bar or separate menu item ordering. It was small, and the food was not warm, and this was when getting there fairly early after it opened. It was also the most expensive lunch buffet I've come across by about $1.50. Most of them do not exceed $9 per person for the lunch buffet, with many much larger ones I've eaten at still being under $8 and this one was over $10. There were too many filler items like not warm chicken nuggets and fruit that need to be replaced with more Chinese selections. On the plus side, their 'heavenly chicken' was the best I've come across, it tasted almost like they used real maple syrup as part of the sweet coating on the outside. It was tender on the inside, and quite warm. The decor was fairly nice, and there's a bar inside with a couple of large flat screens that had the olympics on at the time. In summary, other than the heavenly chicken, there was nothing inspiring on this buffet and half the items were not warm, which is something that is simply not acceptable 30 minutes after open. This is probably the worst chinese buffet I've been too, bottom of my list.

For the love of God Do Not eat at this place... Their food is rarely fresh, if you saw there kitchen you would puke instantly and they "defrost" their food on sheet pans on top of their van parked in the ally behind the business... I have witnessed this... Yuck!
