Drs here DO not communicat with parents. This place is NOT helpful./ Social worker will not call you, you cannot get updates or help from the doctors. Very very bad

This was a few years ago, but I feel the need to speak up. Do not go here, even if you are in deep crisis. This place and the people in it will make it worse. I called the line because I was in crisis and looking for resources, they sent police to my house to take me there. I was told you go voluntarily with us or we will arrest you and bring you there. So I got to follow two cops outside as my neighbors watched me get put in the back of a police car like a criminal. When we get there, I'm put into a room alone and told that they are locking the door. I explained my ptsd to them and it seems they went out of their way to trigger it in a myriad of ways. I was told i was going to be committed for 3-5 days. When they left i pulled out my phone and quickly called my husband and told them what was happening and he and my dad came over as fast as they could and fought with them for about 1/2 hour to release me. They finally backed off and said I could be released so long as I was never alone for 72 hours and I had to call to check in with them every 12 hours to give proof of life or else they would send the police again. Any time i called, no one had any idea who i was or what I was calling for. My heart goes out to everyone who wasn't lucky enough to escape before they were fully committed. Do not ask for help here.
