Just finished eating Dinner here while traveling. If you want great tasting food and a medium price. Then this is the place for you. I had a nice Warfteiner Premium Pilsner Beer with Bavarian pretzels for an appetizer. The mustard and cheese for this appetizer was absolutely the best I have ever eaten. The pretzels are just soft pretzels. Honest reviews are what I strive for even if it hurts some feelings. Then I ordered the "Jaeger schnitzel" with a greek salad and spatzel soup. Remove the "Jaeger" and that is what is served. It is just a breaded pork patty and the noodles are far from original spatzel. NOT impressed. The reason for this choice is that it was the only European item(s) on the menu that I saw. The service was great, people are friendly and we even shared some laughs. But this place is far from a European setting. Serving a couple of imported beers and having one item on the menu isn't par for me either. I lived in Germany for 6 years though, so maybe I have higher expectations than most. Since there isn't much in this area for "quality" choices this is an above standard restaurant for this area. I would recommend but don't go there and expect anything close to authentic. Thanks for reading.

Food was average, service was worse. We didn't get the app we ordered or some of the drinks we ordered. Server even picked up a glass of beer near the end of dinner and took off with it. Guy wasn't even done drinking it yet. We were just sitting there chatting and finishing drinks.

We were up near Tomah in Sparta? We were visiting Fort McCoy and Burnstad's was recommended. We were one of only four tables of guests. Service was especially sweet. I was supping with octogenarians and there was some confusion x2 with the wine order. It was our error. The server was gracious, patient and professional. I ordered a well made and tasty German entree. We drank a bottle of Pinot and enjoyed.
