Villager Restaurant

Very tasty empanadas (both tuna and beef) and garlic shrimp, tho the Mrs. found the garlic shrimp too garlicky (if you didn't want garlic, why order garlic shrimp?). The duck was nice, as was the pork with lentils. But it was too damn cold in the place, had to keep our coats on the entire meal.

I was there last night a friend of mine, who might I add is glutien free. I called ahead to check the menu offerings and they where very willing to accomodate my friend. We dined off the Appetizer selection and dranked Vinho Verde (Portuguese) and a Spanish Red (Picos). We ate Musseles, Grilled Veg salad and Spanish EVOO with bread.this was most enjoyable a lite meal and wine. We debated on the Flan but passed. We where more than full. Can't wait to explore more. Being from Cali this was perfect for me. Thanks Lily and Kieth for your vision. P.S. would have checked in with pics but my phone died. Laugh!

The food was pretty good. The place looked awesome and we had a very attentive wait staff. Make sure you get any questions you have about what is in each dish before ordering. We were surprised by a couple of things since we assumed.

My wife and I ordered rib eye steak, hers medium well, mine well done. Our meal came with 3 very small potatoes, 3 pieces of asparagus, and the steak. Hers was burned on the outside, and blood red on the inside. I bit into mine 3 times and tasted nothing but hard, black chars. I turned it over and found the entire underside to be totally burned to a black crisp. Both steaks were the worst steaks we ever encountered, bar none. To top this off, each order was over $20 and the wait for the food extremely long even though the place had very few patrons at the time and most of those had already been served. We will NEVER go back to this place again and would NEVER recommend it to anyone!!! Over priced, extremely small portions, and the worst steak ever!!! Only nice side to this was the waitress was super friendly, fairly prompt, and apologetic.
