A client of mine provided me a room here for a few days while I worked in the area. I've been around the world more than once and I've stayed in hundreds of hotels. I understand the business model of Motel6 and I understand the concept and role of price and price expectations in service quality. That being said, this was the worst hotel/motel I have ever stayed in. Night 1 - Neighboring room had two prostitutes enter at 12:30am. This is not an assumption. With the walls being so thin, the conversation regarding payment and services was easy to hear - and so was everything that followed, including the absurdly loud rap music they played during their "session". I left my room around 12:45 am to go to my vehicle to retrieve an item. The exit was blocked on the outside by 4 males, 2 females and 3 pit bulls. Two of the dogs were off leashes and sparring, the humans were smoking marijuana. I turned around and headed for the lobby exit instead. When I exited the building I noticed several more people in the parking lot, one of them sitting on the trunk of my rental car. Being so late and having witnessed what I already did, I didn't approach them. I went to the front desk instead and asked if it would be possible to change rooms. The answer I received was, and I quote: "Seriously? Its like, 1 am". I laughed at this point and just walked away. I slept less than 1 hour that night. Normally, I would have been out the door at this point. However, my client paid for the room in advance and I really didn't want an addition problem for him. I talked to the front desk attendant after shift change around 7:15am. I ask for a new room because my neighbors couldn't keep their personal activities to themselves. Thankfully, my request was accommodated. Night 2 - The new room was beyond filthy. The shower floor was covered in dirt and sand and had two cigarette butts in it. The shower drain was completely clogged with hair. The room itself smelled of old, cheap carpet cleaner and mold. Years of animal guests and cigarette smoke had stained everything. When I turned the television on, a massive centipede emerged from behind it and ran down and underneath the stand. Only a moment later I heard someone enter the room adjacent to mine and exclaim, extremely loudly, that she had "scored a bag of that good s**t". I picked up my bag, walked back to the lobby, set my key on the counter and left. I didn't argue with the staff or even bother telling them how I felt. They all knew what was going on and they couldn't have cared less. It was clear to see that this is the everyday operation of the Motel6 in Oak Creek, WI. I was the one that was out place and didn't belong. It's not worth complaining to management, no one is listening - no one cares. But, it is worth telling people on here that if you should find yourself in this area of south Milwaukee, stay clear of Motel6. It is more than an uncomfortable, dirty room, it is a dangerous environment that caters, without question, to criminals and their associated activities. Spend a few extra dollars and stay somewhere people look after you. Care about yourself, you're worth it.
