We hired Jerry Geurtsen in June of 2015 to replace a hot water heater and update our home’s main bathroom (i.e. replace the shower tile, bath tub, toilet and fixtures). From the start of the project Jerry was difficult to get ahold of and was often unresponsive to phone calls and emails. Jerry installed the shower accent tile incorrectly by not accounting for the differences in tile thickness which resulted in us having to spend additional time and money ordering new tile. Additionally, we experienced cracking in grout that he installed within the first 3 months.
Jerry also placed the order for both our new hot water heater and the extended warranty on the unit which we requested and paid for in his invoice. Unfortunately, it has been 5 months since we paid for the additional coverage and he still has not provided the extended warranty. We have followed up with Jerry numerous times via phone, text and email however he has been unresponsive.
Overall, Jerry’s quality of work was average. However, his lack of communication and not providing the warranty we paid for was frustrating and dishonest.
