An update on my situation, I received a call from Doc Jams and they said I could bring the printer by for them to take a quick look at. I really do appreciate this, thank you! I'm very confused by this business. I brought in my printer when it stopped putting ink on paper, paid a $25 deposit to have it looked at, and was told that the only problem with the printer was that the ink cartridges were expired. I then had to pay an additional $50 for this knowledge. I bought brand new color and black cartridges and it printed decently only for one use. Since we don't use our printer all that often, the next time I tried to print was a month and a half later, when it refused to print at all. When I called Doc Jams to ask if they could look at it again I was told I could, but I would be charged another diagnosis fee, and additionally if there were more repairs to be made. They have a 30 day warranty on their repairs, this I understand, but it seems as if the problem with my printer may have been initially misdiagnosed so I would expect more flexibility on their part. When I asked if they could make an exception to the 30 day warranty for my particular situation, the person on the phone laughed at me. Not sure where I will take my printer for repair now, but I won't take it back to Doc Jams.
