GHC is and excellent community resource! That they are a cooperative really shows through in the commitment every one of their members has to providing great care.

My family and I have been members for 18 years now, and have had only positive experiences. I can't think of a time that I wasn't satisfied with the care, knowledge, and professionalism of the doctors, PA's, nurses, and other staff exhibit. Some specifics: I've been going through cancer treatments at the UW for the last year and a half, and the communication and coordination between GHC and UW Hospitals has been great. They are also quick to approve special requests that make my life a little smoother. I can get blood work done at GHC or at the UW, whichever is easier for me. I had the choice to use the GHC therapists or UW therapists for end of life issues. There were pros and cons to each, and so I chose both. I feel well cared for, and we'll continue to use GHC for the foreseeable future.

Horrible experiences.Do NOT sign up for this insurance. Two experiences of malpractice (but there is no malpractice in Wisc so physicians can literally do whatever they want to you). They are for profit and do not care what happens to you. The only correspondence you will receive is them wanting to know if your visit was due to an accident or work injury so they can bill someone else for your care. I have permanent injuries from a doctor here and there is nothing I can do but warn as many as I can.

The staff at GHC are so incompetent. They didnt update my medical records till about 1 month after it was provided by the previous provider (and I had to call/email them multiple times for them to do so). Their reception/Appointment staff also seem pretty incompetent and seem to never have access to my medical profile/records.
