I do not believe Ive had a worse experience seeking medical treatment than at SSM health. The physicians and PAs have been racist and rude in every single visit. Doctors have caused me physical pain during routine exams and acted like it was a burden to treat me. The health groups policies do not keep up with good practice. Im no longer working with this group of medical professionals.

Primary care docs are great, but beware of being charged for unsolved problems by others.

They were listed as providers for psychiatry through my insurance. I called to make an appointment, and was told I had to have a referral from a primary doctor in the SSM group. So I made an appointment with a PCP, got a referral and called back to schedule. I was told that they were booking out one year, meaning the first available appointment would be next September. Don't try to come here, you'll wind up in the ER or dead before they get you in to see a doctor. Unbelievable. I am so disappointed.

Getting prescriptions refilled is always a struggle. Every single time. This should not be a painful process.
