Manna Cafe & Bakery

We love this place. Best Eggs Benedict (eggs cooked just right and the hollandaise is perfect). Everything is very fresh. You order at the counter and they bring the food out. There’s a wonderful bakery with tasty gluten free items. They have a stack of games if you just want to hang out and play board games, although I wouldn’t plan on that on a weekend morning because it’s packed. It’s a little pricey, especially if you have a big family.

We had a superb experience at this place. We loved the fantastic vibes and the food. The staff were super affable. I’m happy we eventually decided to visit here.

A Madison institution that will be sorely missed. Was my go-to favorite spot to bring out-of-towners for brunch (not that there are many of those these days, of course), coupled with a post walk to the lake. Will have a to find a new favorite spot soon. I've heard they're working on developing a cookbook of their recipes, which I will eagerly purchase several copies of as soon as they're made available.

Sunday morning rush, had a party of 8. They gave us a number, we ordered food and were sat within 15 minutes. Efficient way of getting people in and out. A little crowded while waiting, but you can have a coffee while you wait. Food was fresh, hot and delicious. Not much service, serve yourself coffee, get your own containers for leftovers, etc. Clean, cozy setting.
