I have been shopping at the Rockford, Il store since it opened. I am getting a little disgusted with this store because I am finding that the produce is not too quality. Cantaloupe time and time again look good on the outside but cut it open and it has already started to turn soft and rotten. Celery sitting out too long as it is never crisp and cold. The celery is limp and soft. Roma tomatoes are soft at times and are sold at a lower than normal price just to get rid of them. Buy and use today or throw out tomarrow must be the idea. Purchased a load off cottage bread that on Friday that had a yellow twist tie, when opened the same day at home it had Mold in two slices. I love red delicious apples but have Ben finding them to be smaller and the meat is soft to the touch and not edible. Biggest problem is the produce sits out too long in the back rooms and should be refrigerated. Prices are rising weekly. I will limit my grocery shopping there from now on. Im on a fixed income and items are getting out of control for the quality I get. Ill be looking to Miejer and others such as Valley Produce fir my produce. Oh I have to mention that steak at the high ridiculous high cost per pound should be an embarrassment to Woodmans owners. Sorry but the public is getting ripped off on many things that Woodmans sells .
