I am completely devastated would not recommend Kaela. I planned fall family photos with my parents, my brother's family and my family, as a Christmas gift to my parents for 2020. When I filled out Kaela's form about why we set up this session, I explained how important this photo shoot is to our family. These photos were extremely meaningful since my brother recently got married, my parents celebrated 45 years of marriage and recently celebrated a big milestone of being cancer free. My parents asked for fall photos so here we are, fall 2021. I have today booked with Keala. I booked this back in July since I know Fall photos need to be booked far in advance. Coordinating everyone's schedules is difficult and I understand the timing of when she schedules her sessions. I reached out to Kaela yesterday and asked her what our options are if it gets canceled because of all the rain we recently had. I had family members were asking what happens if we get rained out? Do we make it up this weekend? Do we need to request another day off of work? She stated that weather cancelations are part of her contract. After asking for clarification on what her contract states, she said she has the ability to reschedule to unavoidable weather. I asked her if we needed to reschedule this shoot due to weather, is possible to rescheduled for a weekend since 5 people all had to take off of work and we need to pull kids out of school early to make this time. We only have a limited time to get these taken since they are Fall photos. She said she doesn't have any availability and gave me NO options. She then sent me my security deposit back and said she hopes we can find someone else to capture our family photos! She completely canceled on my entire family! We all took time off work, paid to get our hair done, bought new clothes etc. We did everything that goes into taking family photos, for her to cancel! She knows we can't find anyone to take Fall photos this year. I'm beyond devastated and would not recommend booking with someone so unreliable and with terrible communication skills. I feel awful for my parents. This would have meant the world to them to have these photos.
