Worked there installing hearing aids. Legit the worst addon you could get for you doll if you actually want to play with it. Most of the dolls hair line is to close to the ear for it to even stay on. I feel bad for the kids who get them just for it to fall off or wiggle out of place after a little bit of play.

After a 2 week application to interview process I was denied the position after having already been offered the position over the phone. Because I didn't list a misdemeanor convictionoffense that occurred 8 years ago. I did not list the conviction under their background check disclosure because the question verbatim reads "Have you, in the past seven (7)years, ever been convicted of a crime, including any felony or misdemeanor offense? A conviction includes any plea (e.g., guilty, nolo contender, no contest), verdict or other finding of guilt regardless of probation or other sentence imposed by the court." After receiving an email this morning reading "Good morning Devin, Thank you for your patience as we have submitted your background check through our 3rd party vendor, Sterlings Info Systems, for an employment position with American Girl. Unfortunately, we are unable to move forward with your candidacy for this position as the information stated on the ‘Post Offer Criminal History Questionnaire’ does not match what was found on the background check results. Attached is a Pre-Adverse Action Kit which states what we have found on your background check. If you would like to contest this information, you will have 5 business days to do so. If no action is taken within 5 business days, or the information on the background check is correct, we will have to unfortunately decline our job offer to you. Please reach out to Sterling’s at ********* to dispute any misinformation." I reached out to "Sterling" to clarify why a conviction from 2012 would be considered as a disqualification from employment. "Ashley" from Sterling was equally confused and suggested that I should tell Kevin Johnson to reach out to their Rep between "Sterling" and "Mattel Inc" so that they could clarify, which I did. Eventually chasing down Kevin Johnson through multiple transfers and dialing different numbers (almost 2 hours of my time). Kevin Johnson HR manager of "Mattel Inc" finally called me back. I notified him of my call to "Sterling" and conversation with Ashley. I told him that they should reach out to their Sterling rep so that they can explain the background in clarity for him. He told me he would "Call me back." I was sent this email instead, "Hi Devin, Thank you for your patience as I had spoken with my manager and was assisted by our legal team. Unfortunately, we are moving forward with rescinding the offer to you for our Seasonal Warehouse Associate position with American Girl DeForest. If you would like to contest the background check, please reach out to our 3rd party vendor, Sterlings Info System, as they handle our background checks for American Girl/Mattel. Their phone number is ********* or you may e-mail them at *************** Thank you, Kevin Johnson Human Resource Coordinator American Girl | Mattel, Inc. **************" Unfortunately there's nothing to dispute. The conviction is there, from 2012 and their questionnaire reads "In the past 7 years." Had I known a conviction past the disclosure agreement terms would disqualify me from employment, I would have listed it. I would recommend any future applicants to just list every conviction they've had. I was really looking forward to working this seasonal position and had so much hope for the income that was being offered. I needed it. I am hard worker, any reference and past employer will verify that. - Devin McGrane
