Thompson Correctional Center

Having traveled the highway between Madison Wisconsin and Cambridge Wisconsin countless times I have often seen the sign to this place of rehabilitation. Though until this fine day of traveling the states fine roads I never thought that I'd be well served to get a gander of where our boisterous youth and other less dangerous offenders of the law might be sent for getting their head right. And I'm impressed! By golly this place looks quite delightful. The grounds are kept nicely and I see even a gorgeous garden where I'm to believe the guests (like bottom tier employees, who instead of a promising future, shared stock options, benefits etc, are awarded the glorious title of "associate" to instill a sense of acceptance by their superiors!) aka inmates (to be less kind) are fed heathy in season vegetables in their diets. I don't see any livestock though I'm going to presume they must be out grazing and getting ready to provide fresh nutritious dairy products, chickens for the same. If I was still a youthful young budding juvenile delinquent I'd be actually rather excited to think that if I really screwed the pooch a judge might grant me a few months stay at this adorable and profitable service to our (me too!) tax paying citizens of Dane county. I shall be reviewing more of these hidden gems not found on google earth (for the safety of the nearby populace I'm told) or most tourist stops dotting Wisconsins roadways.
