image It’s hard to me to describe the level of frustration and unprofessionalism I’ve experienced when working with this shop over the past couple months. I have attempted to schedule repair on 2 different appliances at 2 separate times and had a terrible experience each time. The woman who handles the phone calls/scheduling is one of the least professional and least organized company representatives I’ve ever dealt with (and I say this as a veteran of customer service interactions with: Verizon, Comcast, Peoples Energy, the State of Illinois, Spectrum Cable, and Time Warner Cable).
The first time I attempted to have them repair my Whirlpool microwave, I received a phone call from this vendor during which she told me that she wouldn’t be able to schedule me for service for 3 weeks. The reason? The business only has 1 technician and he has standing appointments each week, all across the county/state. On the phone, she was unsympathetic and told me if I wasn’t happy to go elsewhere. Given the fact that they are the only approved servicer for Whirlpool appliances in my area, this isn’t possible. But I chalked the interaction up to her having a bad day or something similar.
The second time, I scheduled a service appointment via Whirlpool (unfortunately with the same provider) and received a confirmation email for service on our Whirlpool refrigerator 2.5 weeks down the road. The email listed Little Nicky’s as the contracted servicer and this time I did not receive a phone call. So far, so good, right? The day before my appointment, I called to find out my “window”, as recommended. I spoke to the same woman I spoken to previously and this time she couldn’t find my appointment. Then she did find my appointment and told me she wouldn’t be sending a technician tomorrow because he wasn’t available. When I pointed out that I had a confirmation email, she yelled at me that I had scheduled through Whirlpool and they didn’t service Whirlpool. When I asked why I hadn’t received a phone call, letting me know that they weren’t planning to keep my appointment, she told me that she “probably already called you and never heard back”. No joke. She had no idea whether she had actually called me or not, but still assumed that I was lying and calling back now as if it was the first time. When I protested that her logic was a) insulting and b) more flimsy than her long-term business prospects, she YELLED at me to go somewhere else and slammed down the phone.
Needless to say, I’ll be forwarding my experience with this “contracted service provider” to Whirlpool and finding another solution to our appliance needs, but I just hope I can save someone else from having to go through the headache of trying to get anything (courtesy, professionalism, service, et al) from Little Nicky’s. If you can go elsewhere, DO IT!

image We purchased a Frigidaire refrigerator in November of 2017. I opted for the extended warranty. Fast forward to January of 2018 our refrigerator’s temperature started going up gradually. So, I called Geek Squad which in turn sent me to Frigidaire’s 800 number which then gave me options for local appliance repair businesses which subsequently lead me to Little Nicky’s Appliance Repair out of Burlington, WI. I called and left a message. I received a call back within 2 hours. I was scheduled the day after the next. She told me they would call before arriving between noon and 5pm. I received a call from Nick at 2:50 pm stating he would be there in about 20 minutes. He arrived as stated and within 1/2 hour or so everything was diagnosed and fixed! In summary they were responsive, reliable, knowledgeable and helpful! I would recommend!!!
