On our way to Door County I knew I needed to stop at this museum given my ancestors emigrated from Belgium to northern Wisconsin in the late 1800's.  We happened to show up on the weekend they were honoring the 150th anniversary of the Peshtigo Fire.  We caught the last few minutes of a talk and then saw a new video they made about the fire.  It was very good and very informative.  If not for the movie the center itself was a bit underwhelming.  I was hoping for more having been to the excellent Luxembourg-American museum in Belgium Wisconsin (go figure out that one).    [You must be wondering do I only tour Wisconsin-based museums of small Northern European countries.  No but my wife is of Luxembourg descent so that is why...]Anyway the people were friendly and the few displays were interesting I was just expecting a bit more content.
