What a god awful experience. Worse than usual for thedacare so I give you props for that. I came in on Jan 22nd and am now getting to my review after switching care to Aroura. I came in because I was experiencing numbness on the right side of my body, severe headaches, nausea ect. I called the triage nurse before I went in asking if my symptoms seemed like I should come in (it was 2 am at the time so I wanted an opinion of wether it seemed severe enough to warrant driving 30 minutes away for care) She said yes but I wish I didnt. I went in and was taken into the room. A blonde haired nurse just showed me in and left me waiting there for 15 minutes while I was actively losing more feeling in my side. Then she came in asked me about 3 questions and called the doctor in. The doctor was horrific to me, absolutely no bedside manner. She came in, asked me the same 3 questions as the nurse, pinched the skin on my arm on the side that was numb (those few spots were bruised for a day after) and LITERALLY left without saying anything. The nurses came back and said they would inject me with some medication first and then draw my blood. She said the longer brand name versions and I was so loopy at the time she really didn't clarify what I was actually being given through the IV. I found out the next morning it was essentially IV administered benadryl and sedative affect anxiety meds. So essentially instead of actually helping me with an issue that still persists to this day, they gave me some medication to make me go to sleep so they didnt have to deal with me. Pretty great medical care if you ask me. They did the bloodwork and a CT scan but I was also barely conscious the whole time. Then they said they would put in a referral to neurology (never did) and sent me on my way. Luckily I had my partner driving me home because I stumbled out of the hospital and passed out the entire car ride home. I am still appalled at the way that went and the almost illegality of the medical practices at this hospital. I am currently a nursing student right now and I just have to ask. Is this what we do? Is this what we go to school for? To drug people to sleep without proper consent for medication, pinch their arms without speaking to them, and cause medical trauma? I dont think so. My only positive is to the radiologist for being kind to me and getting me a wheelchair as I couldnt stand anymore and being a very kind lady. The rest of you should be ashamed.

Went in having a severe problem and they had me waiting for 2 hrs and they called in people before me. When i went to the front desk and asked why i wasnt being called in. She said my problem was personal and not severe and I was like nobody asked me how severe my problem was and that it is quite severe. Not a good place to go in terms of emergency that needs to be treated right away.

I came in with severe abdominal pain Monday morning. I was scheduled to have it removed April 9th but due to the severity they got me in right away. From the minute I walked into the ER till I was released on Wednesday morning the staff was amazing. I cant say enough how wonderful every single person that I was in contact with. Thank you again to all of you that looked after me.
