Sadly this placed had closed. No word about reopening, relocating, or anyone carrying it on in any form. This was THE place to go for automotive electrical work if all kinds. They were a tad pricey, but they good, honest work.

Unbelievably disappointed in my experience with Morgantown Auto Repair Service. I had some overheating issues with my car on 1/26/21, and AAA towed it to MARS, stating it was a "Triple A accredited tow site and that they offer a discount on any work/repairs completed at MARS". I am a young, new professional, 26 years old, and have never had to deal with anything like this before. I say great, tow it to MARS.They had my car for almost 4 weeks, 1/26/21 - 2/18/21. They called and said the issue was the water pump (~$500), I give them the go ahead, that gets fixed. Then they call and say it's the throttle body (~$350); reluctantly, I give the go ahead to replace/fix. Then they call and say they went ahead and replaced the thermostat (not super expensive, ~$30 so whatever). THEN they call and say it's the O2 sensor, another $300. BUT now that they've identified the O2 sensor issue, they were able to rule out throttle body issues, so he tells me that he is putting original throttle body back in and returning the new one. I think, great, my final cost goes down from ~$1100 to ~$800. I FINALLY get a phone call yesterday, car is ready, I go pick it up, final cost ~$1100. I pay, leave, and am later looking over my bill. I was charged ~$370 for a "throttle body". I thought, must be a mistake, because they didn't end up doing that to my car. I call, owner goes on and on, beating around the bush, saying they DID in fact keep the new throttle body in, fully knowing that wasn't the issue, and wouldn't offer a refund unless I took my car BACK in to rip it all apart again to switch them out.Owner straight up used the phrase "I just forgot". Um, you "forgot" to swap out a major piece that jacked my bill up by almost $400? I honestly don't know how they are even still a running business. They take advantage of their customers, and I believe I was targeted because I am a young woman who had my dad make a few phone calls with the owner just to make sure I understood everything that was happening. But don't mistaken, I'm the one who used my hard-earned money to pay the final bill for this absolute mess.I'll be touching base with Better Business Bureau, and AAA to let them know just how their garage recommendation went.I refuse to take my car back to that garage, so I really hope the company can use that extra $400 that they swindled out of me.

I had my car taken to Morgantown Automotive Repair after it broke down in my parking lot and used it on recommendation of AAA. I had spoken to the people at this garage several times about my car, and it took them a month to diagnose the problem with my car. I told them that it wasn't an urgent fix because I had another car to use, but that I had people coming into town in the next couple of weeks to buy the car from me after it was fixed. After waiting almost two weeks with no word of the progress, I called the garage and asked what the status of the car was. I was told that they did not know that I had people coming to buy the car (I definitely told them) and that they had several collisions that they were doing first. I reminded them that I had given my car to them first and told them that if they were going to charge me a large sum of money ($1700), then I, as the customer, deserved to know of the holdup. The man at the garage, with whom I corresponded with, laughed when I said that $1700 was a lot of money (which it indeed is, regardless of what he says). I had to delay the people coming into town (who were going to buy my car) TWICE because this garage did not have it done when they promised. Furthermore, when I did pick up my car, they informed me that they were closing that very day, indefinitely. I found this suspicious and very convenient for them, because then if my car didn't work, I couldn't bring it back to them to fix it properly. It just so happens that they did NOT fix my car, despite me throwing away $1700 on it. Every time I slowed down, the car would just turn off and I would have to wait a minute before starting it again. I will never use to Morgantown Automotive Repair again and would caution others as well. I sincerely regret entrusting my car to them and would without a doubt use another garage. TERRIBLE PLACE. So unethical. They put a used engine in my Subaru Forester they're claiming I bought for them to put in and now it's shot, too. 3 years and maybe 40k on it. When I spoke to "Jan", she was rude and condescending. I tried to explain to her Subaru HEADQUARTERS said a good mechanic should never replace a foreign car's engine without highly RECOMMENDING I go to a dealership. She laughed and said honey we replace those engines all the time. The mechanic never suggested that and I tried to arrange some kind of payment plan or I never would have authorized it to begin with. They don't care about their customers, they only care about the money and they wouldn't let me take my car without paying the amount in full. Therefore, I had to open up a whole other freaking account and pay on 2 credit cards. Do not take any vehicle there if you want the repair to be WORTH $3000+. They had to know it wouldn't last long and only gave me a 90 day warrantee. POOR SERVICE. Especially from a secretary too. Services: Brakes, Oil change, Engine repair
