Sargasso

This place is good for dinner with friends. It has a calm ambience and was not too busy when I was there. The food was good and the chefs and waiters were really friendly. We had a good night out and halal special requests were acknowledged. The sauces and food were separated on request. The only downside is that they did not have a lot of mock-tail options for teetotalers.

We came in for Thanksgiving, as they were doing a buffet, and we had people in from out of town. The food was really good and the service was almost perfect. We had 4 kids with us (2 under a year), and they were great with the kids. It was a little pricey per person, but it was a holiday, so totally understandable. Our issue with service was that since it was a buffet, our plates should've been cleared, but we had a stack of them constantly. The other issue was when our server came to ask about our bill. He basically made us feel like he wanted us to hurry up and leave. He told us, "Are you ready for the bill so you can go?" It was a little rude, so we all packed up to head out. Other than that, it was a good meal and we look forward to going back for a good meal. Kid-friendliness: They've got highchairs if needed, and will bring a toddler a drink with a lid and straw.
