Do yourself a favor and call ahead for everything. They either don't have the vehicle ready or forget to send someone to pick you up. A simple phone call from them could have saved me wasted hours (twice today).

We have used our local Enterprise a couple of times now and each time has not been the best experience. The first time, we were overcharged (by hundreds of dollars). It only took one phone call to get it fixed, but it was still days before our money came back to our account that we then couldn’t use for the vacation we were on. The second time was a complete disaster. I had a car rental booked for 4 months. I showed up at my rental time (9am) to see a sign on the door that they weren’t opening due to temporary hours until noon. We called customer service who said Morgantown had cars, and we could pick up there. We called Morgantown and they informed us they didn’t have cars and were calling people to cancel their own reservations. After calling customer service again, we were told there was absolutely nothing they could do and we would just have to wait. So ultimately no one could help us and we were put three hours behind for our trip. I got a phone message from them about my reservation at about 20 until 12 but I couldn’t call them back since they weren’t “openâ€. So we went down to pick up our car since someone was obviously there at that point. I talked to a man who said they needed to go pick up more cars because they were so low but they definitely had one for me and they would get me set up and I’d be on my way. 5 minutes later I see that same man driving away with two other guys. So I was left standing in massive confusion on the sidewalk for another 10 minutes before someone else came and unlocked the doors. When the location finally opened at noon, it was clear why I hadn’t received a call about my reservation needing moved, if the golf club leaning against the counter and the balls all over the floor were any indication. Maybe instead of practicing their swing, they should have been doing their job and I wouldn’t have “fallen through the cracks†as they claimed. Ultimately they put me in a car with half a tank of gas and a smoke smell but they had no other cars and I was then over 3 hours behind for my trip (basically our whole planned day was shot down) so I felt like I had to “take what I can getâ€. I was offered 10% off and to not worry about filling the car up when I brought it back for my inconvenience (the car was actually returned with more gas than I got it with since I received it at half a tank). All in all this experience has tainted my view of Enterprise and I will not be using them again, especially if it involves the Clarksburg store specifically.

Enterprise never really makes me happy, it is always something. Lucky for them they are pretty much the only viable option in this small town. I would love to see another company come in here and break the monopoly. First they no longer allow one way rentals. Are you kidding me? I would think that was half their business! Second, why do you even let me pick what car I want online and "reserve" it. I don't think I have EVER gotten the car I reserved! This time I called and verified several times they would have the car I needed, because I had a specific need, they said they would, they called me 30 minutes before I arrived to tell me they didn't have it. Very unprofessional operation, successfully operating a monopoly where it doesn't have to do anything right, they are basically the only option.
