Ableist, greedy, callow/young, opportunistic, unempathetic doctor, and 90% snotty front desk staff for 2 of the years, with cold phone transfers. I see other lower income patients had similar feelings. The doctor held my long-term blood pressure medicine hostage over "office visits" a few times. That is, until Covid, when Dr. changed her tune totally and was very cooperative about refills because she no longer wanted office visits because of the pandemic. It seemed like more of an aesthetics salon. No help with PCOS in the 50s, even though help is available. She said, "You have menopausal hormones so you're good" but I've had menopausal hormones since the 1980s and am high risk for ovarian cancer so one would think she would do more. She did not acknowledge my questions about aging, several times and didn't even make a referral to a counselor if she couldn't answer them. She told me to take a mega-dose of an item which was good, but it was expensive for me so I asked her to prescribe it but she never did, and later after I changed doctors I learned my insurance could have paid for it. It turned out jojoba oil does the same thing & is much easier to find/pay for, so being a naturopath she should have known that. When I mentioned being on the approved wait list for DVR, doctor frowned and acted disapproving with glowering eyebrows and pursed lips for several moments, until I explained to her that DVR HELPS people work not the other way around. Then she was all smiles again. What a fake. More than once, the Dr. didn't properly verify the pharmacy on file. Staff was very snotty about it even though both or all times it was their mistake (doctor mistake). Staff never even apologized, but abruptly barked, "You HAVE to GO TO your old pharmacy to get it from them." No, I really don't. That pharmacy doesn't even exist anymore and the building is empty. Staff didn't even notice that the item they were barking orders about was from 6 months ago and I had been doing without! I think the Dr. bilked Medicaid for as much as possible. She billed for a diagnosis I've never had! One that she never even screened me for. Could be just a mistake... She threatened to cancel me, a Medicaid patient, for "not having enough office visits" even though my health had not changed & I didn't need office visits. Also, they should not threaten to terminate a Medicaid patient who has had long term medical conditions leading to asking for help with bowel management. Instead of just prescribing what I needed, she threatened to cancel me. The prescription should have come first, then questions, administrative work or feedback later. One day she started asking about fatigue (which I didn't have) every time I came in. When I asked her why the new emphasis on that, she said, "We ask everyone," but that wasn't true because she had not asked about it during the first months & she didn't say there was any change in approach. Rated a 2 because she's not directly evil. She provided some help & common sense solutions. If you are young female without any serious constitutional health issues, this is the place to go for expensive fluff treatments. They keep their website as generic as possible to draw people in, but it seems like they really only cater to wealthy women/mothers with "first world" problems.
