If I could give zero stars I would. This accountant knew my name was spelled incorrectly on my payroll stubs as well as my social security number. Since I did not receive an actual paystub for my 1st 4 paychecks I was unaware of my social security number being wrong. However, I made it clear my name had been misspelled and 13 months later it has not been corrected. When I finally received a paystub and noticed the social was incorrect I made it known that she needed to fix it. Now here it is tax time and needing to file my taxes, she brought me 2 w2's one with the correct social security number and one with the incorrect social as well as my name still spelled incorrectly. I asked for it to be corrected as soon as possible since how do I claim income that is not under my social security number, well I don't. 16 days later she has someone bring me a W2 with my correct social security number, name still incorrect. All she did was take the income from the incorrect social security number and added it to my correct one. All the while she has a copy of my social security card as well as my drivers license, so how could she have gotten both of these wrong? Does she not double check her own work? This is very unprofessional for someone who has been doing accounting for as long as she has. I would not recommend her for any tax or accounting services, if she can get a social and name wrong while it is right in front of her I couldn't imagine what else she could mess up. Many of us need to file in a timely manner to make sure we can get our stimulus money in a reasonable amount of time as we have been told to file as soon as possible. And will the person whos social security number she was using as mine be effected?
