The food its not freshly prepared. The cooks reheat boxed, frozen food you can find at Costco. This place is no gem.

We are regulars here and they know us by name. We lived in Italy for 2 years and have high criteria for Italian food. This is very authentic and well-prepared. Our favorites are the Crema di Pomodori, which sounds like boring tomato soup, but is fantastic, the fresh Insalata Gorgonzola and Lasagna Al Forno. The decor and atmosphere are very sparse, but we come for the great service and consistently good food.

This place is one of the reasons I moved to the 'couve. Great meals that have never disappointed me. On top of it, the owners are incredibly nice. They knew my name and tastes by the third visit. I'm a regular, and only wish I could go every week.

Nice locally owned restaurant. Initimate dining, very good food and service. Owner mixes with guests, making for a added dimension to the dining experience. Put all that together with live piano for background and it all made for special evening at cafe al dente. We will be back!!!!!
