Update: I spoke too soon. I have been here a couple more times since my first visit. Falafels are not anything I would write home about. The lentil soup has been pretty broth heavy which is frustrating when there arent that many ingredients other than lentils The baklava has been greasy rather than yummy honey on delicious crunchy phyllo layers. The gyro has been consistent - which is a plus however, I have closer places to get a gyro. First visit: What is this?! I have been living so close to this amazing restaurant and I am just NOW discovering?! Dont suffer from FOMO - get here now. I enjoyed the lentil soup, falafel platter and pistachio baklava. My partner had the gyro, baklava and gave it all a 5/5.

The food was great but, The server only checked on his once and was in the backroom most of the time. These days, with food costing so much more money, it's nice to go for a meal where you have both food and ambiance, not just the food. I can get that at home.

Had some great chicken shawarma at the Jerusalem Cafe. We will definitely be coming for more.

This is my favorite restaurant. I moved to Vancouver about a year ago, and any time people come visit I take them here. If I want to treat myself or my girlfriend we come here. I've never had a bad experience and the food is amazing. I get the chicken shawarma plate with the house salad. It was particularly good when I went tonight. I don't like eating lettuce, so I typically avoid salad, but the house salad doesn't have any and is delicious. I hope everyone enjoys this place as much as I do.
