        We purchased a Quail Home under construction (framed out but nothing else). A month into construction I noticed that the waterline and meter box had been placed right in the middle of the driveway. I asked the Quail construction site manager if he would have the meter box and house connection moved to the side of the driveway so that fixing any potential leak down the road wouldn't mean digging out or having to bore a new line under my driveway. I was told that water meter placement was prescribed by code and that the box could not be moved. Although I argued that no other house in the entire neighborhood had their water meter box in the middle of their driveway the construction manager refused to make the change. Now, guess what! I have a water leak in the line under the driveway. Thanks for the unnecessary $2,500 repair bill Quail Homes, I really appreciate it.
