This school is complete chaos, if you can even call it a school. The kids are always running around screaming and throwing things. The teachers are constantly yelling at the kids, and we've seen staff physically hold down kids and grab them. There are so many special needs kids and kids with behavior problems and staff here have absolutely no idea how to help them other than yelling at them. The "playground" is a small play structure on the other side of the parking lot at the church. Nothing is fenced in so you can see kids running by the street. If you come to them with a complaint or problem they act like you are an idiot and brush you off. Very poor communication with parents as well. My son went here 3 months before we pulled him out, and is now doing a million times better at his assigned school. We see them at the community center or other places trying to "recruite" new children to enroll. They paint this great picture of what the school is like but it's all a bunch of lies.

Extremely poor communication with parents, and very little follow-through. My son didn't arrive to daycare until nearly an hour after he was supposed to, and SOAR didn't even know where he was until 40 minutes in to that hour. They didn't bother calling us, and just figured that the daycare would let me know he hadn't arrived. When my wife became upset with the office over this incident, she was told that her frustration was out of line...when they had no idea where our kid was...The school grounds are wide open for children to run off grounds during recess (any that are faster than the teachers watching them). Definitely not a secure school property. The current school year is my son's first and only year at SOAR (Kindergarten). We will NOT be using SOAR in future years.

11/17/17 Horrible communication! Never received any communication from my child’s teachers about expectations or progress despite repeated calls and e-mails. They lure you in with a warm and fuzzy picture of what the school is like, but in reality the kids are running the school. My son would come home daily with stories of kids fighting and trashing classrooms and I have witnessed the same type of behavior myself when I was in the office to try and speak with an administrator. There are too many special needs kids acting out and disrupting classes for any effective teaching to take place. Staff are quitting and good kids are leaving due to the chaotic environment at the school. We finally gave up and pulled our son out in October after getting a meeting with our child’s teacher and she pretty much told us that the place is a zoo and she wouldn’t send her own child there.
