Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center Emergency and Trauma Department

They have that weird contempt for people that Church people have. Hospital is half church members and it shows. They want validation for not providing care.

My father recently passed away. Throughout the last 7 years we spent long days and nights in the ER for his many health conditions. When we would finally get seen, after many hours of waiting, I will say staff and doctors in the "back" were always professional and helpful. On the day that he pass unfortunately at the start of his passing at home, there were some complications, 911 was called and the fire and AMR responders came. When they arrived they wanted to bring him down to Sacred Heart, but he refused. The reason he refused was because he didn't want to have to "wait in the lobby" to be seen, so he sent them away. After lying in pain, because his hip had broke when he fell at the start of his passing, he had my brother call them back to come down to Sacred Heart and get seen. He did pass within the next hour, after arriving and I will say the trauma room nurses and the Doctor were phenomenal!!! To all of them I say THANK YOU, too the management of Sacred Heart you need to work on a new setup for that ER. It's pitiful that a dying man's thought of your hospital was "he didn't want to have to wait in the lobby......."

Waited over 5 hours. Finally left. Horrible experience.
