James is incredibly talented, dedicated, and blew us away. You can tell all that from just looking at his work. Meeting him in person and working with him was so easy and smooth. Bonus is he is a local.

We are incredibly grateful to have found James Thomas Long photography! James is so good at what he does. He has photographed our family since we had our first child, and now our third. He uses outdoor lighting and landscape to bring nature's beauty into our family photos. We have found this to be a lasting and positive investment, as we have photography and beautiful wall canvases to cherish for years to come. We recommend him wholeheartedly.

Absolutely superb. James is probably the best vendor we could have hired for our engagement and wedding pics. He's nice, smart, professional and takes absolutely gorgeous photos. He's very good at coaching and getting the best shots (I was exhausted at our engagement shoot after working a full day but he somehow managed to make us look amazing). He was easy to work with and provided photos that were stunning.

James Thomas Long was our wedding photographer on April 20, 2019 at the Westin Hotel in San Francisco. We found James while searching for our wedding venue and fell in love with his pictures posted on the site. We were so lucky James was available on our wedding day! Through our whole experience working with James, he was always professional and responded promptly to all of our questions and concerns. He is warm, friendly and has a cheerful personality. James shot our engagement shoot at the Presidio in San Francisco. It was a cold and rainy day, but the weather didn’t prevent James from trampling in the mud to capture the best shots. It was also a pleasant coincidence that James had already worked with our videographers as well! James worked with us to help develop a detailed timeline for our wedding day. He provided suggestions and feedback, which greatly helped ease many of our anxieties with the planning process. On our wedding day, we were very happy with how James was able to capture so many candid shots. Per my request, James was able to provide us with a few edited images the week after our wedding, so we could create a thank you card for our guests. And about a month after our wedding, James had already completed editing all of our images. All in all, you will not be disappointed hiring James as your special event photographer. Words cannot express how happy and grateful we were with our experience working with James!

We booked James for a family portrait session and we couldn't be happier with the entire experience. Having your photo taken can often feel awkward but James helped us let our guard down and feel comfortable. James was great with our almost 2-year old son, as well. He was incredibly patient with him and did a great job making my son laugh and look at the camera. My wife and I were really impressed. Not only did the photo shoot go better than expected, but our photos were absolutely stunning! After sharing many of them online I had so many people tell me how much they liked them. Months later, I still have people telling me they saw my family photos and were blown away by them. My wife and I couldn't agree more.
