When our furnace and heat pump expired after 25 years of faithful service, we were left with only a bare strip to heat our modern, "log cabin" style, pan abode home. I went comparison shopping for three bids from Olympic Peninsula HVAC contractors to handle the replacements asap since central heating and air hung in the balance — and the forecast was for a record breaking heat wave.
Every company I talked to was terribly short-handed and weeks behind schedule. In one case, the president of the company was the only employee, in another the install date was over two months out.
I was grateful to connect with a robust organization like Quality Heating Electrical and AC of Silverdale, Wa., their fleet of service vans, and a crew that was top-notch and NATE-certified. The Quality Heating proposal included “good-better-best” options covering three different brands. The scheduled consult, follow-up and installation occurred in a fraction of the time of any other HVAC company even though Quality Heating was understandably busy.
The point is that this company meets a professional standard of service without excuses! They do not operate with a skeleton crew, nor by scheduling work months out into the future.
The install team arrived in two service vans that were more like mobile workshops and not only maneuvered the best-of-breed Bosch air handler into the narrow crawlspace beneath the house but fabricated a custom L-shaped channel to connect the furnace to the house circulation ducts.
I’m thinking of using them again for a tankless water heater and a whole-house generator (since we lose power at least twice a year on Bainbridge Island). A top-notch, Grade-A, first “Quality" job! Services: Thermostat installation, Heating system installation, HVAC repair
