El Cazador

Very Sad. I've been going to El Caz for well over 20 years. The last several years have seen a decline in all areas of this business. I've tried several times, several different food choices and different times of the day. Each time the customer service is pathetic. Not being welcomed or having employees standing there talking and finishing their gossip of the day( the last time I watched and listened to an employees friend spout off about his day using the F word several times). After being seated and the menu slid across the table by the hostess (normally the inappropriately dressed bartender) leaves and until the server shows up (which can be from one to two minutes all the way up to five minutes) am I asked if I would care for something to drink. The food is served for the most part cold unless the fajitas are ordered. There is no flavor to the food and the prices have been raised way to much. The staff stands by the "waitress" station and talks about anything and everything while avoiding all eye contact. I can tell that since Arturo and Maria left and the owner took over (never see her) that the people of Sequim are going elsewhere based on the empty parking lot. It's to bad to see a business fail which is happening here. It could be saved with quality control and lessons in customer service. From now on I'm going to the other three Mexican restaurants all of which serve good food and service is excellent.

This is the first restaurant I ever went to and ordered some iced tea and dinner and the food was there before the tea! All of it nuked to death. Since I know everyone has a bad night, we did try it again, same only worse. I can not recommend this place to anyone local or not. There are better here and in P.A. If you want fern feeler food, try P.T.

Quality of food and service has greatly declined over the years. Serving staff is often too engaged with other staff members to provide timely and adequate service. My most recent visit provided food that had a strong, burned metal taste, with staff not being able to explain (we were not the only ones complaining of this.) We were asked if we wanted to TRY a new cheese dip, consequently being charged almost five dollars for it. Frankly it tasted as if they got it right from a gas station. The addition of multiple flat screens through the restaurant gives the feel more of a sports bar than a good family restaurant. There is far better food in Sequim than this once wonderful restaurant.

Ok. The service was slow the waitress never refilled anything, the food was warm, the rice was reheated on the plate, I know because it was crispy on top. All in all. Bad restaurant. Don't go here.
