image 2 star rating driven by the abysmal pasta. We had two different pastas and both were - sadly - some of the worst weve had. Cooked poorly, and worse, almost no flavor or depth at all in the sauces. For a renowned Italian restaurant whose mains are primarily pasta.disappointing is an understatement.
By contrast, the starters sourdough bread, ahi crudo, and fresh salad were amazing and lived up to the hype. Full of flavor, interesting, and well prepared. It was hard to square the top notch nature of these dishes with the disaster of the pasta.
Atmosphere is awesome. Drinks are great.
Would have been an amazing experience but I cant put into words how sad and disappointing the pasta was. Do not recommend.

image First time at How To Cook A Wolf. We had a 4:00 reservation on a beautiful sunny Saturday afternoon and we were seated outside. Everything was excellent! The host, the servers and of course the food. The food was beautifully prepared and presented and tasted as good as it looked. The hazelnut ice cream for dessert was absolutely sublime.

Man, where do I start? This place was a letdown from the get-go.
First off, the music was cranked up so high, I couldn't even hear myself think, let alone chat with my date. And let's not even start on the seating situation. The tables were packed so close together, I felt like I was dining with the entire restaurant. Plus, every time the waiter served the next table, his backside was practically in our faces. Not cool.
Now, about the food. Tiny portions and not a whole lot of flavor. Most of the dishes seemed to be stuffed with crunchy bread, which felt like a cheap way to fill up the plate.
The steak was the final straw. Waited an hour for it to show up and no one even asked how I wanted it cooked. Ended up with a medium-rare steak, which was far from appetizing.
And then the bill came. Almost $200! For what? Bad music, zero privacy, subpar food, and an awkward dining experience. Went in hungry, left just as hungry, but with a much lighter wallet. I'd steer clear of this place if I were you.
