**UPDATE** There was property damage noticed to my flooring under a carpet where a stain was present not caused by the animal. Per Rovers policy this should be covered. Upon push back from Rover, they reluctantly provided me with paperwork to file the claim. The claim was denied. Unsure how physical property damage to my residence is not covered as they did not ask for any additional information. Worst experience ever. Company has done nothing to help. I hired a Rover, Kaylea Perez to house sit/watch my dog while out of town. Upon my return, my Xbox series X was, a controller and battery pack were missing from my entertainment center. In additional to the missing property a large stain was left on my carpet and my poor dogs water bowl was bone dry. I filed a theft report with the local police department indicated my Rover would not cooperate. Rover's "guarantee" policy states is covers "Property damage". Property meaning your walls, floors, and roof? They do not cover damage to PERSONAL property or theft. Additionally, they are not a company of transparency. They would not provide me details on what action was taken against the Rover if any. Needless to say I'm Very disappointed with this company and service they provided. Unwillingness to help customers after such a traumatic experience is disheartening. I trusted Rover to take care of my dog, instead property was stolen from my residence.

In addition to unsatisfactory care for our pets, the sitter we hired came into our home in the middle of the night, unscheduled and unannounced. Multiple attempts to contact Rover.com were fruitless. Was not allowed to leave a negative review of the sitter.

Rover is complete garbage. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. Your pets are not safe. You are not safe. This service needs to be shut down. Its HORRIBLE. Your dog might run away from someone and die and they literally will not care keep providing services and keep making money. ROVER IS GARBAGE.

My dog got hurt a few times trying to find the right dog sitter. They arent able to verify individuals and so be careful and make sure you do thorough meetups before leaving your pup. Also, they have horrible horrible customer service. Rude, will blame you, unhelpful, difficult to get a hold of, and they clearly dont train their call center workers. You are unable to delete your account as a form of their customer retention scheme so keep that in mind when signing up.

Love Rover!!! Read a sitters reviews to make sure they are genuine sitters! Always trust a sitters reviews and experience. Some are better than others for sure. Do your research in a sitters profile.
