image Follow-up: I did cancel twice, & I'm sorry I forgot the 1st one, Maggie. I had to leave unexpectedly for work. I'm fine with you not taking me back as a client (even though you agreed to when you told me you'd take $150 for the missed visit. I would've offered you another $150, because I felt so bad about messing up your schedule.) BUT you know I never spoke a "harassing" word to you or your mom, by phone or in person. I couldn't have been nicer or more apologetic. All I wanted was another appt. Even my review states I liked your work, and you! Lies are not okay Maggie. It wouldn't cross my mind to lie about testing positive for covid ... Not sure how you got to that one. I'm new to WA & was thrilled to find you thru my sister. I felt I'd found a great stylist, talented and just super nice. You've lost my sister's business now too. Rest assured I won't attempt further contact with you. I've found a great stylist and I have moved on. I wish you all the best.
Maggie cut and colored my hair for the first time in early September 2023. On the day of my second appointment, I woke up feeling sick and tested positive for Covid. I called first thing in the morning to cancel my appointment. Even though I could have managed to sit in the chair for the time it took for a cut and color, it didn't cross my mind to do so, as Maggie's health and safety and the safety of others in the salon were my top priority. By Maggie's own report, she chooses not to have a business cell phone or to be notified when she receives a call or voice message at the salon, so unfortunately she didn't receive my message until she arrived at the salon. In my message, I asked her to call me back, but I didn't hear from her for two weeks so I tried her. I ended up calling the salon three more times, spaced out by 2 weeks each time. I liked what Maggie had done with my hair and I felt that we had clicked. She understood what I wanted and had good ideas. But I never got a call back. In my third voice message, I apologized again, and offered to pay for my missed visit if that was the reason she wasn't returning my calls. Still no reply. So today, December 12, 2023, I decided to pop into the salon and request an appointment. Maggie was busy with another client so I asked her mom Robin to please book me an appointment with Maggie anytime in the future, at Maggie's convenience. When I said my name, Robin looked up at Maggie, and then back at me. She stated, "Maggie doesn't rebook people when they cancel without 72 hours notice." My name was known and I was on the do not call list :) I explained I had wondered if that was the issue since I hadn't heard back. I turned to Maggie and told her I would be happy to pay the $150 she quoted for my missed visit if she would take me back. Maggie appeared to think about this for a couple of seconds, and then agreed with some reluctance. Her Mom then tried to book an appt for me but did not seem clear on Maggie's schedule and said "Maggie can schedule you." Maggie said she was "too busy" to walk the 10 feet to the desk to write my name in the book. I knew that if I called again, chances were slim and none that I would get a return call. I politely said never mind and goodbye and I left the shop. I so wish this could have gone another way. I wish Maggie had informed me about the 72 hour advanced notice requirement for cancellation. I respect that. I would have been happy to pay for her services. But she chose to do nothing, and then couldn't find 10 seconds in her day to pencil my name in for an appointment when I came to the salon and offered to cover the cost of the missed appt. Moral of the story: I tried too hard to get an appointment with someone who had rules she didn't care to share with me, and who may have preferred that I come to an appointment having just tested positive for Covid. I was kind and apologetic in all my calls and during my drop-in today. I don't know what else I could have done. But I am moving on. If you make an appointment with Maggie and you get sick, make sure it's 72 hours in advance :).

When you have to blatantly lie about testing positive for Covid and the number of times you canceled. This is just a continued attempt at harassment. She canceled in less than 2 hours notice, and it wasn’t the first time she had canceled with short notice. This woman has harassed me and made multiple threats on our salon recorded voicemail. I have only done her hair one time. Using google to try and damage a business because you were refused service for multiple reasons, not because of the quality of service you were provided is everything that is wrong with this type of platform.
