My fianc retained this lawyer due to all the Fab reviews, but ended deceived and disappointed. He thought
he was getting a lawyer that would fight for him, but instead his lawyer blamed COVID for her inaction when we retained her in the beginning of February. Side note: if you hear it will be done next week... just take your money and go elsewhere. My fianc paid 10,000 and it didn't even get him to mediation. This lawyer promised that it wouldn't be an issue for him to pursue full custody, but soon changed her tune after the retainer was paid. My fianc was fooled by her father's right credentials!!! Don't be the next to be fooled!! She does not care about father's rights!! My fianc has no criminal record. A great job. Great credit and a stable life. His ex moves around in subsidized housing (despite 1100 in child support) has a felony, was evicted during the time we retained this lawyer (Jennifer didn't do anything to help us, even though we informed her of it through our own research). The Ex had someone living with her who interfered with the kids visiting with their dad (this person also had a domestic criminal record).
Come mid-March things shut down and we ended up paying for things to be passed around the office but never filed!!! I drafted the documents myself that were copied and pasted into the filings by the paralegal, but charged to our bill. If you have heard "next week"... RUN! And to top it off... Jennifer made it seem like we were bothering her by requesting updates on our case and threatened to quit after she spent down our money. I have retained a lawyer before you want to feel like they are fighting on your behalf, this was not the case with Jennifer.
If you are a father's rights person... STEER CLEAR.. SHE DOES NOT GIVE A CARE ABOUT YOU!!!!. Our case was a slam dunk!!! A mom who had been evicted!! But due to this office's slow action, we were not able to take custody because she doesn't file anything! She wants you to pay thousands for papers to be pushed around her office.
Takeaway.... if your a dad fighting a POS mom.. steer clear.. Jennifer is not going to do anything for your case but milk you for 10,000 before you even make it to mediation and make YOU do all the work. We wish we would have not been swayed by all the "awards". It's BS. She never made us feel represented for the money we paid for her help. She always made us feel like we were bothering her with our questions and impatience of why nothing was filed. Then when she did make it to court, she was being criticized by the judge for not filing paperwork in a timely manner and it further delaying our case. If you can afford 10,000 to mess around, try your luck. Its a gamble on if you will be the next bad review. But If your kids and the time you are missing matters to you, go elsewhere.
It is heartbreaking. She didn't care that he was missing time with his kids, it was about how much should could milk the situation. Literally read articles about her drinking mimosas while we were waiting for things to be filed for our case! Another factor that affected our experience of not being a priority was being from out of state. I wouldn't recommend if that is your situation.
They don't have the integrity to fight for those who don't have the option to show up at their office.
After the fact, while retaining another lawyer, we hear from other people within the system and other lawyers confirming that Jennifer was not a good choice. Just felt duped.
My personal thought is that she should HAVE WORKED on her integrity and performance over the design of her new office.

Jennifer was a fantastic attorney. Navigating through legal issues was very challenging. Jennifer was on my side the whole way. Mona the paralegal was in constant contact with me. She kept me informed of each step of the process. I could not have asked for a better legal team.
