I live 20 minutes away so I like to call to check on the status of my prescription before driving into town. They do not answer their phone. I mentioned it when I was in there and they just said they were too busy to answer. They literally never answer. I just get put on a forever hold. Completely unacceptable and unprofessional for a pharmacy to not answer their phone.

Feb 23 update Woo! We have changed insurance and now can switch pharmacies and not have to drive off island!!! I did want to share our last experience. So, my wife was prescribed a not so common medication island drug states that we would have to pay a co-pay of $120 which is double our highest tier four medication co-pay?? Weird? So I asked why. The lady stated they have to order two months worth and cannot keep it on the shelf for us, therefore we have to pay for both months worth. This is a new medication I explained- what if the medication isnt something she can even take (nausea, headache, etc) I mean- its new? So who knows, right?? It doesnt matter you have to pick up both was the response. Ok cool- we are calling a different pharmacy. New pharmacy- agreed not very many people have this prescription- but no issues ordering one months worth at a time, gets better- our co-pay drops to $4 bucks!!!! Explained what we were just told with island drug. Yeah, thats not right. Something is off they should not be able to do two months worth unless its by request, and your co-pay amount is way off. So- I dont know what is going on with island drug- but its a party. We will not be coming back, thank goodness.. Jan 22 How many one star reviews does it take to see that your business is being ran like garbage. Your staff is unbelievably rude. Commendable- You as an owners dedication to your beliefs is of the highest caliber- you have established your own mask mandate Also, hang a right to refuse service sign.

Every single time I come to the Oak Harbor location to pick up my prescription there's an issue. I understand staffing issues but this past weekend the woman at the window could not find my insurance information in the system. She didn't want to double check her spelling or re-check the numbers I gave her, she simply thought she was right and I was wrong. We were made to pay out of pocket and when I called my insurance today they said nope nothings wrong with your insurance, the woman clearly entered your info in wrong. So frustrating and to top it off we had to wait an hour for her to figure out what she was doing and when we came back she was like ya I don't see your Information in here, it's not matching up to the numbers you gave me  But refused to double check what she input in the system. Switching to a different pharmacy, these people are untrained and so freaking slow.
