I have not missed a 6 month dental checkup appointment in my adult life across several states and various dental offices. This was my first time as a new patient at a dental office where I was told my teeth look good with no cavities, then NOT given a cleaning and told to book a cleaning appointment where I would spend an additional $380 for additional dental work, and encouraged to talk to their orthodontist for alignment because the negative impact of my misaligned teeth would be that my teeth will fall out. Shocked at all this bad news for someone who practices faithful dental hygiene, I asked for further clarification and received vague and speedy answers that made little to no sense to me. The one star is for the kind dental assistant who professionally took my X-rays although she spoke to me like I was in kindergarten. An additional star for the kind front desk staff, who possibly felt bad pushing all these additional costs onto me. An excellent hygienist makes or breaks a patients dental office experience and ensuing commitment, but I have no comment to make in regards to this because my teeth were not cleaned. If you have expensive dental work needed, you may not have an issue here. If you generally have healthy teeth, aka not a profitable patient, you may have a similar experience.

I took a chance finding a new dentist and couldnt be more pleased! I was able to create an appointment for an exam inside the same week (probably got lucky). The initial exam went smoothly at 11 AM. They recommended that they address some minor issues with 3 of my fillings, and then clean and polish my teeth. Then they offered that I could come back after my lunch, and get it all done! Wow! Furthermore, they were able to do the work without the needle, using only a topical anesthetic! Then they cleaned and polished my teeth thoroughly, and gently, and I walked out of the clinic with a smile because my lips were not numb! Big bonus to me - my new insurance covered everything and there was no out-of-pocket cost. Shout out to Dr.Anit Mathew and her assistant (cant remember her name).
