Kevin VanEgdom: Allstate Insurance

Isariah has been great to work with. Extremely patient and helpful in getting me switched over from my old insurance. Super happy. As for the roadside I added, not overly pleased with the Allstate service which has absolutely nothing to do with my agent or his office. Needed a 30 mile tow at 1245 pm on Christmas day from a rest stop off the interstate. Close to major metro area. Basically a simple tow. Whipped out my phone. Used the app. Easy. Considering it was Christmas, I knew it could be while. About 30 mins later I get a call from someone i am pretty sure was out of country who tells me it will be $435, of which they will cover $100. Okay. Not shocked. Agree to service which is immediately followed by a text that says it will be 4 hours. After about 30 mins of contemplating, I decided to call TLC Towing out of Ridgefield. He says we are outside his service area but he will help. With that knowledge, and the already on the table $435, I hold my breath for a large amount. Yeah. No. Try ONE HUNDRED EIGHTY DOLLARS!!!!! Yep less than half the cost previously provided. Cancelled first tow. Confirm cancellation only to get a text a few minutes later to tell me Central California Towing will be to me between 239-259. I'm sorry what??? I am in WASHINGTON STATE!!!!! NOT IMPRESSED. Don't know what Allstate corporate can do to improve in that area but I know there are options. According to tow truck driver, Allstate is one of the worst roadside assistance programs. Hmmmmm........not a good start for a service I am paying good money for.

Im so glad to have found an insurance policy that fits my needs perfectly!! I havent been able to drive my car the last six months due to medical issues. I was previously paying roughly $200 per month for full coverage with another company. It didnt make sense to keep paying that much while my car was sitting under the carport. I had to keep coverage otherwise I would have a break in coverage. As I began my search, Allstate made the most sense for my situation. Having a local agent has been helpful. Ive had some questions and instead of calling the 1-800 number & being put on hold, I called my agent, Kevin VanEgdom. My questions were answered right away, never put on hold, and received return calls as soon as answers to my questions were researched!! I would absolutely refer anyone to Kevin VanEgdom!!
