I have visited many times and Alek has always treated my female companion with respect. His art is beautiful and he has a story to share with it. A must visit when you are in La Conner. A true artist and an artist's temperament.

Alek was extremely disrespectful and condescending. As I was inquiring about his art he literally refused to look at me or speak directly to me because (I'm guessing) I was a women. Instead, he was speaking to me but would only look at and acknowledge the man I was with....who literally could care less about art. SO disappointed.
