TRC was not a good experience for me. Purchased a 4R75E trans in 2016 with 90,500 on the odometer of my 05 Ford F150. Warranty states 2yr 24,000 miles. Truck has 137,000 as of 3/2/24 barely driven. Trans failed with only 46,500 on it. Metal and friction material through out trans. Had shudder problem from day one, complained, but was told keep driving it, needs to break in. Nice, how convenient, just past the Warranty period!! Just threw away 2,300.00 for that time and era. We work hard for our money for somebody just to take it! Beware! Pics of pick up filter.... To follow up on the response from TRC sales manager. Chris offered 2,000.00 dollars for another trans w/new warranty. That would have brought my total expenses to TRC 4,300.00. I didn't want a repair of my existing trans because of the metal shavings possibly being missed. He couldn't speak to the original shudder issue, but said keep driving it, sometimes it fixes it. Well he just spoke to it. My request was some sort of prorated refund. TRC said no, so my TRC 4R75E trans failed short, in addition to my remedy falling short.

We have tried using TRC transmissions several times over the years. Unfortunately there product doesn't meet expectations. We have had multiple failures on several different transmissions. Of those failed transmissions, they have failed multiple times. Sometimes with the same failure repeated after sending them back for warranty repair. Getting them to cover the cost of a warranty repair is like pulling teeth. No one calls back, they do not want to pay, they want you to send their product back so they can deny any wrong doing. They do not honor there warranty. While they are nice people on the phone and talk a good game, its all a show. Some of the most dishonest people I have met in the automotive repair industry. Not only did they screw up multiple times for our customers but also my own personal truck. I have had my transmission sent back to them three times. Wouldn't trust them for the 4th. Ended up having the wonderful people at SeaTac transmission fix TRC's poor workmanship. Best thing is, SeaTac Transmission charged me half the price. I suggest finding a business that will have a moral code, care about the people they are doing business with, and most of all, actually have the ability to rebuild transmissions that last longer then 10,000 miles. After TRC gets your money, they no longer care. -Iron Mike Automotive Service: Transmission

TRC worked with me to troubleshoot my problem and get me the right level of rebuild for my 1ton truck. Update - After a few more months of use it is clear that the team at TRC really knows what they are doing. The shifts are firm and crisp. Highly recommend.
