Do not do business with this office. I started a policy in 2017, and paid 6 months in full (because it was an extra 10% discount). When the 6 months was up, I went into the office to have my payments turned into monthly payments, that would be automatically deducted from my checking account. I signed the paperwork to authorize the monthly payments be deducted, and also paid the first month. I didn't think twice about this and thought everything was good to go. It wasn't until I got a paper notice that told me my policy was CANCELLED that I found a problem. Apparently, Art never changed my policy over to a monthly plan, and AMFAM tried to pull the full 6 months out of my account, which was denied because I have a $500 limit without prior authorization . I called Art to ask what had happened, and he stated that he mistakenly did not change my payments to monthly, and that had caused the problem. He assured me it was his mistake and he would make sure it was fixed. The next day he called me to tell me that not only was my policy cancelled, that the only way he could reinstate it was at an increase of $100 per month to my old rate. Suffice it to say that I chose another insurance carrier, and have reported Art and his office to the Washington State Insurance Commissioners office for abuse. DO NOT SIGN UP WITH THIS OFFICE. I chose them to have a local agent who could help me out. I got the exact opposite from them. You are treated like a number and not a person. His answer was to "get another policy for 6 months, and then come back and he could quote my original rate back to me." Sorry Art, I will NEVER do business with you again. And neither will anyone else I know.
