Family First Adult Family Homes

More like family last, Don't send your loved ones here. Only one staff member in the evenings my grandmother fell out of bed and died 2 days later thanks to their incompetency.

Family First Adult Homes became a part of our family back in 2003 when Chris and Julie provided loving care for my Dad who was diagnosed with Parkinsons. Since that time, my Mom, Brother and I have had the highest respect for Family First because of all loving care they provided my dad. I recently contacted Family First again for my stepfather Joe who needed 24-hour care. Joe was in the hospital and getting ready to discharge. I told the hospital staff Joe was going to the Family First Adult Family Homes in Gig Harbor. All the hospital staff who I spoke too, knew about Family First and gave them the highest marks for professional and loving care. Joe has now moved into a beautiful home with six other adults at Family First in Gig Harbor. He is doing extremely well thanks to the experienced care workers who treat each resident as part of a special family. I would also like to mention that not only did Family First provide my stepfather Joe with a loving home, the owners also assisted me with Joes Long Term Care (LTC) approval. I have worked with four separate long term care policies over the last (20) years starting with my dad in 2003. These LTC policies are very hard to get approved, implemented and paid out. Family First had more knowledge about this LTC industry than any other adult care providers I consulted with over the years. Thanks to Family Firsts help, Joe just got his LTC policy approved which took a huge wait off his future needs. Family First Adult Family Homes will again be my first choice when my mom is in need of full time care in a loving adult family home.

Family First made a very difficult situation into an amazing transition for my elderly mother. Chris, Julie and staff were beyond helpful and my Mother had the best care I ever could have wished for her. It was an excellent "Family" experience. I highly recommend them to anyone in need of elder care.

Hello everyone, out there. You are probably reading this review because you are in the same boat I was 6 months ago. Tough time. When my dad was no longer able to stay with my mom in assisted living, we were forced to look for outside care. We found Family First in Gig Harbor and met with these folks. Instantly I knew how much they care about us and more importantly, their clients. They had a room available in their Olalla home. This home was great. Nestled in the woods with a large deck. Very comfortable. The staff there was very nice. Every time we went there they were very pleasant and accommodating. Dad really liked it there. He got great home cooked meals and anything he wanted. Not going to sugarcoat it too much but I would highly recommend meeting with Julie the owner and her staff. You will know right off the bat what they are all about. I thank them very much for caring for pops for these last remaining days. He left us without pain and discomfort. Highly recommend Family First. Kevin
