This was a great kayak trip with knowledgeable friendly guides. We had a smaller group of 4 with one guide on labor day weekend. We saw sea animals, islands and learned about the area. Awesome experience!

Our Experience was exceptional thanks to our guide Brenden! Our 10 person group, ages 12 to 54, just finished a 3day kayak/camping trip.
Brenden is an excellent communicator he let us know about the upcoming plan and timeframe. He continuously checked in with us to make sure everyone was doing okay.
Our group has lots of Food Issues (vegetarian /gluten free/shellfish allergies/etc) and none of it was a problem. The food was not only good but fresh & healthy.
Brenden picked an excellent campsite location up on a hill with an excellent view of the water.
Your hard work was noticed and appreciated!

We did the Savor Seattle 3 day kayak trip with Luke and Kevin as our guides and it was one of the best trips EVER! The food was extremely good (presentation and taste), the knowledge of the area, and the fun energy made this trip a once in a life time trip!
I'm looking now at when I can schedule another trip with Luke and Kevin!!!

We arrived here in Roche Harbor via Seaplane with Kenmore Air, so getting here was a kick in the rear! The kayak dock/slip to check in to, is right below the Lime Kiln Cafe and easily accessible via dock ramps.
San Juan Outfitters provided dry bags, and water skirts, but that was it. You'll need to bring water, snacks, and suncare, and make sure to use the restroom prior to paddling, as there is no stopping on land once you're out there on the water. It's convenient and located just at the top of the dock ramp by the Line Kiln Cafe.
We took a 3 seater enclosed kayak partially around Henry Island, (not all the way around), but we didn't see any Orca. Our guide, who was awesome and very informative, told us that actually spotting an Orco Pod was very slim. But, what we did find however, was, that synchronized paddling is cool, floating quietly on the still and dark, deep water is powerful, and that talking smack with your kids...
Never, ever...gets old!
Our guide even joined in on the fun. Just so you know...synchronized paddling, (3 of us) is kind of like dance lessons. It will surely test your relationship! Haha
Oh, remember to bring some cash so you can tip your hard working guide, who showed up today, just to add some knowledge and safety, while providing incredible value to you and your families water experience!
