I'm not a collector but I wanted to start investing and decided on gold coins. I chose this place based on some of the reviews. But my experience, unfortunately, was not that great. When I asked to see the coin, she brought it out but refused to allow me to take a look at it. She stood about 6 inches from the counter which was about 30 inches in depth already and held the coin out. She was handling it with her bare hands, so it wasn't the coin she was concerned about. I thought to myself, does she really expect me to purchase anything from her that I'm not allowed to look at, especially since I'm handing over several hundred dollars? So, I left that day and called the next day to check the prices due to the fact that the price of gold fluctuates daily. I spoke with a guy who sounded as if I was keeping him from something and then put the woman on the line. She then proceeded to quote me a price markup of over 15 % even though gold had gone down slightly. Needless to say, I drove to Tacoma and made my purchase.

Sorry. I have to agree with most of the others. Yesterday, I was going into Federal Way to sell a 1/4 ounce Gold Eagle at NWT MINT. As I was driving by, I saw a sign for federal way coin and jewelry which stated " WE PAY HIGHEST PRICES IN THE NW". I figured I would stop and check it out, because if they paid more than NWT I would be happy to recieve more. I went in and they offered me 90% of spot, which is less than I have ever been offered anywhere. I simply said no, its ok. Then the guys asks me how much did I want to get, I told him $400 which was in fact less than spot at the time. The owner then jumped in and told me and I quote " NOONE will pay you spot, and if you ever find someone who will pay you spot, I will sell to you at spot". Sorry dude, but that is FN BS and he knew it. Then he got amazingly rude and unprofessional and started telling me I was "playing games" whatever that meant. I guess if you wont sell to him at 90% of spot then you are playing games. The funny thing is that this whole operation is nothing but a big game. First they claim to pay highest in the NW when they dont even pay highest on that block. Then he told me noone will pay me spot when in fact EVERYONE pays spot for 1/4 ounce AGE. Then he told me he would sell to me at spot which there is no way in hell he would ever do. I simply wasnt going to accept $40 less than I knew I could get 1/2 block down the road. He on the other hand was spewing bald face lies all over the place. So in fact, he was the only one " playing games". So I went 1/2 block down the road to NWT and sold that exact coin for spot + 3 %. Which was $40 more than his offer. I would suggest that people just go 1/2 block down the road to NWT Mint. You will definitely get a lot more money. This coin palace place is a joke and the owner is rude and looks like a homeless bum.

Quality & Appeal I found this place online and visited them multiple times before I made a purchase. They have a small collection of coins that they grade and resell. Most of their coins are common dates and if they have rare dates, the grades are common. I've not seen higher than MS62 there. Their markup also seems reasonable. If you're into coins, this is a place worth checking out. The place doesn't get a lot of customers and the ones that visited when I was there were trying to sell their jewelry or get something appraised. It's almost eerie because of the silence and the guys running the place all carry guns. Service Don's the person that's most welcoming to work with and he's willing to spend the time assisting. There is another employee who's helps if you ask, but is indifferent. The third is the owner/boss I guess and he is downright rude. The only time I interacted with him, he told me he can't help because they were getting ready to close when they had a full 20mts before their closing time.
