I completely agree with the reviews regarding rude service (not sure if it's the owner or not.) I live in Edmonds and pass this store frequently - and have occasionally ventured in and made purchases. In general I find the merchandise unique and good quality, but following my last experience about a year ago I will not go back. I had purchased several items and returned 1 item the next day after seeing it would not work after all. She reluctantly refunded my purchase but made me feel about 1" tall. Further, she'd seen me at another store in the area and essentially called me out for my visit to 'that other store'. Unbelievable! Will not go back....

I had recently moved to Edmonds and I had a friend visiting from NYC for a few days and was showing her around my new neighborhood. We walked into this store since the clothes looked to be of fine quality and style. The sales person whom I assume was also the owner completely ignored us and looked at us like we shouldn't be there. That was ridiculous because my friend is a CEO of a cosmetic firm in Manhattan and has no problem spending whatever she wants on her wardrobe. I understand that some people just have a certain look about them that may come across as snobby or rude but come on this is a retail store. If this is her business she should hire a person with a more congenial personality. Maybe the business only deals with private clients and in that case should keep the doors locked and a sign that states by appointment only. With just a handful of women's boutiques in the area it's too bad that this one is so off-putting.

I wish I had read the other reviews before shopping here. The clothes are beautiful and expensive and so I expected to be treated well. And I was when I bought something. But when I attempted to return my purchases after deciding that the fit was not quite right (especially for the price) I was rudely informed that I could receive only a store credit. I explained that I hadn't been told there were no returns and was then treated as if I were an illiterate ill-informed fool. The owner was uninterested, curt, rude and refused to discuss the problem. I wound up having to purchase something in exchange in order to keep from having to go back and dealing with her on another day. I'm really distressed that among so many lovely Edmonds merchants, this one store stands out as an example of how not to treat customers. I too would have checked a minus rather than one star given an opportunity. This was one of the worst shopping experiences I have ever had. (By the way, the owner informed me that if I posted a negative review, I would be seen as exhibiting abusive behavior. I guess I did).

If there was a minus button for stars, I would use it!, The owner of this store is a complete snob and insufferably rude. I was shopping for a dress for my son's wedding and went in to Christine's for the first time. She looked me up and down and told me that I would not likely find my size in her store. I am a 10-12 and she acted as though I was morbidly obese. I couldn't get out of there fast enough and will never set foot in store again. I have also encouraged my skinny (size 4) friends to avoid the store too. Like a previous poster, I can only assume she has income from another source, otherwise how could she possibly stay in business.

Not even 1 star for this place.10 yrs ago I walked in to browse this boutique...the owner was so rude- said she didn't allow strollers".(2002 approx) my girls are teens now..Really?The owner of this place clearly SHOULD NEVER be in retail. She is rude and a total snob...she looks at you like your bothering her....10 yrs yes 10 yrs....Later....2012..I told the women I work with about how horrible she is.... And that story......so for fun we got ice cream...and strolled down to her store...we walked in and mind you we are 30-40 year olds ...business women...she told us "I don't want food in here." as if we would spill or wipe dirty hands on something!The ice cream was in a bowl..not a cone..needless to say it proved my point to my co worker!I wonder if her husband pays for her store... It would explain her lack of liking people or good sales?Don't give this lady your money.....she won't crack a smile of gratitude.
